Both from an environmental and from a medical point of view,

ozone is rapidly gaining in importance. Impressive results have

confirmed the success of topic and systemic applications of

medical ozone. Its indications range from arterial circulatory

disorders through microbial and viral infections and the

complementary treatment of cancer to the treatment of external

ulcers and skin lesions.

It was in 1959 that Dr. Hänsler, the founder of the company

now named after him, was granted the first patent in the field

of medical ozone application. His equipment series called

OZONOSAN, the tradename registered as a result, developed

rapidly. In fact, its version additionally designated “PM 58”

represented a milestone in his history of ozone therapy,

as it made exact O₃ dosage possible for the first time.

Now, at the beginning of the century, both our units, the

OZONOSAN alpha plus and the OZONOSAN photonik  ,

are setting new standards: the integration of a photometric

measuring / dosing unit with autocalibration and continuous

ozone level control are an absolute guarantee for permanent

quality control. Our factory has  established a quality management

 and  all our products our marked with CE 0535 by EUROCAT -

Institute for Certication and Testing- as Notified Body.

OZONOSAN boardcase is the brandnew CE-marked portable unit.

The OZONOSAN therapy system is optimally complemented

by our training manual and reference book entitled

“The Ozone Handbook. Fundaments – Prevention - Therapy”

1995-2006 by R. Viebahn-Hänsler and H.G. Knoch (ed.),

which is nowadays not only considered to be a standard work in

its field with studies, treatment suggestions and

dosage recommendations for ozone therapists, but is

also revised and updated yearly. A pocket book of

approximately 170 pages is obtainable in German and

English (2007).

In addition to this, a large number of publications justifying

the use and confirming both the success and safety of our

OZONOSAN equipment series is available.

However, in spite of us now having nearly 50 years of

tradition behind us, we are still hindered by the

controversy between traditional and complementary medicine

as regards ozone therapy. This makes it additionally

difficult for the supporters of O₃ in general and for the

manufacturers of ozone equipment  in particular – which

also involves those societies representing the interests of

complementary therapy on an academic, political and

medical level.

HÄNSLER OZONOSAN has consistently supported and

performed basic research in ozone therapy to guarantee its

safe and hygienic use, thus contributing to its introduction,

further development and application in indications nowadays

accepted as classical. In addition, our company now holds a

series of patents in medical ozone usage and O₃ disinfection,

many of which have either become a marketing reality or will

reach the market within the very near future.
